Adrienne is housesitting for our fave Talus-Heavners, the Talus-Heavners, and it is sweet! There are two dogs that we love very much, and they are well-behaved and affectionate and don't smell terrible unless they eat Yummy Chummies for tricks, and a bigger Christmas tree than ours and with more decorations (our tree is very nice, but there's something homey about a tree covered with a variety of ornaments, which we have not yet built up)...and....a hot tub, of course! But with a hot tub comes the experience of freezing your way into it, and it feels like being boiled in oil after your skin has experienced the frigid air. However, the joy of bobbing around in the boiling oil sipping on a spiked egg nog and looking through the vaporous mists for stars is a pretty good joy. Speaking of frigid air, one of my favorite things happened today: My damp hair froze while walking from the house down the driveway to my car. Not from the house to my car to driving to work, but literally from the house to the car - that's like 200 feet!!!!!! (maybe Matt will post a comment to correct this wild under-exaggeration) (on the other hand, maybe said Talus-Heavners are enjoying their break from Juneau, even though it means they miss out on more sunny days here) (ha ha ha, suckers!)
In other news, I just got the Charlie Brown Christmas album on iTunes for $5! I was prepared to pay ten, so that was extra-awesome. It has been rocking me, along with the Christmas With The Beach Boys album I got. Adrienne is very bah-humbug, which I continue to strive to change, because for once I am very into the holiday spirit of things. However, I am also very behind in present manufacturing, so I better get back to it!

200 feet sounds about right--thanks for helping house sit, and for the great gifts left under the Christmas tree!
